THRISSUR: Noted Malayalam film producer Bijoy Chandran passed away here on Friday due to cardiac arrest.
He first ventured into production with the 2011 film Vellaripravinte Changathi, which went on to win a Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor for Dileep that year. Since then, he has produced a handful of movies, the most notable among which are Romans (2013), Ulsaha Committee (2014), Oru Second Class Yathra (2015) and Georgettan’s Pooram (2017).
The shooting of his last film Vikadakumaran is currently going on, with Vishnu Unnikrishnan and Dharmajan Bolgatty at lead roles.
