KOCHI: The High Court asked actor Nadirshah to be present before the interrogation team in connection with the actress abduction case. Nadirshah was asked to appear before Perumbavoor CI, the interrogating officer, at 10 am on Friday.
The High Court intervened while hearing on the anticipatory bail plea filed by Nadirshah and postponed his plea to 18th of this month. Though the police can question Nadirsha, they cannot arrest him until the court’s verdict on bail plea. Meanwhile, the court harshly criticized the police officials in the investigation team. The court asked the public prosecutor whether the case is a screenplay and if they intend to extend the case infinitely.
The court also asked whether they question new culprits every month and why the bail plea of Nadirshah should be rejected if he is not a culprit in the case. The court also demanded an explanation for the news regarding interrogation of Pulsar Suni, who is the prime accused in the case in which the charge sheet has been submitted.
Demanding a deadline for the case, the court expressed suspicion whether Pulsar Suni is being probed to please somebody.
The court criticized the investigation focusing on the mobile tower location and advised the police that they should use their brains to prove the case.
Meanwhile, Director General of Prosecution Manjeri Sreedharan Nair, who appeared for the police, said that the probe will be over within next two weeks in the case. Nadirshah’s advocate pointed out during the hearing of bail plea that many rumours are spreading in connection with the case. The High Court responded that proper action should be taken to control spreading of such news.
