THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The vigilance director has ordered a preliminary investigation against KPCC president K Sudhakaran over alleged financial corruption. Sudhakaran’s former driver Prasanth Babu has filed a complaint against him alleging financial fraud.
Recently, K Sudhakaran and Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan had a battle of words with each other by opening up about incidents during their college days. Amidst this, Sudhakaran’s former driver came forward raising allegations over financial fraud.
Addressing the media, Prasanth Babu alleged that Sudhakaran committed financial corruption related to the K Karunakaran Trust and the construction of the Kannur DCC office. He also filed a complaint with vigilance.
Vigilance has decided to carry out a preliminary investigation based on the complaint.
Further investigation will be carried out only if the probe officials find the complaint genuine, informed the vigilance dept.
