സാന്‍ഫ്രാന്‍സിസ്‌കോ: സുരക്ഷാ വീഴ്ച സംഭവിച്ചതായി ട്വിറ്റര്‍. ലോകത്താകമാനമുള്ള 330 മില്യണ്‍ ഉപയോക്താക്കളോട് പാസ്‌വേര്‍ഡ് മാറ്റണമെന്ന് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ട് കമ്പനി. സെര്‍വറിലെ പാസ്‌വേര്‍ഡുകള്‍ക്ക് സുരക്ഷയില്ലെന്ന് അന്വേഷണത്തില്‍ കണ്ടെത്തിയതിനെ തുടര്‍ന്നാണ് ഇത് മാറ്റാന്‍ ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടത്.
ജീവനക്കാരാരും ഇവ ദുരുപയോഗം ചെയ്തതായി കണ്ടെത്തിയിട്ടില്ല. അതേ സമയം ഉപയോക്താക്കളുടെ സ്വകാര്യത സംരക്ഷിക്കുന്നതിന്റെ ഭാഗമായാണ് പാസ് വേര്‍ഡ് മാറ്റണമെന്ന് ട്വിറ്റര്‍ ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നതെന്നാണ് ട്വിറ്റര്‍ വ്യക്തമാക്കുന്നത്.
എത്ര പാസ്‌വേര്‍ഡുകളെയാണ് ഇത് ബാധിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത് എന്ന് കമ്പനി വ്യക്തമാക്കിയിട്ടില്ല. നിരവധി പാസ്‌വേര്‍ഡുകള്‍ ചോര്‍ന്നിട്ടുണ്ടെന്നും സംഭവം നടന്നിട്ട് നിരവധി മാസങ്ങള്‍ കഴിഞ്ഞുവെന്നും കമ്പനിയോടടുത്ത വൃത്തങ്ങള്‍ അറിയിക്കുന്നു. ആഴ്ചകള്‍ക്ക് മുമ്പാണ് പ്രശ്‌നം ട്വിറ്റര്‍ കണ്ടെത്തിയത്. സംഭവത്തില്‍ ട്വിറ്റര്‍ ക്ഷമചോദിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.
